RRR-H Ranch is located in the Southern San Juan Mountain Range and lies 9 miles east of the Cowboy Town, Tierra Amarilla. The Ranch is a hunter’s paradise ranging in elevation from 8000 ft to 9800 ft. The Ranch has varied terrain with open meadows surrounded by majestic forest of White and Douglas Fir, Ponderosa Pine, Aspen and Oak. Both the Rio Nutrias and the Rio de Tierra Amarilla flow across the Ranch completing the ideal habitat for many wildlife species. Elk, Deer, Black Bear, Turkey, Mountain Lion and Bobcat are regular residents. In summer months Cut Throat Trout can be caught in the creeks.

This year the Ranch will receive 6 Mature Bull Elk rifle permits, 3 Anterless Elk rifle permits and 4 either sex Elk bow permits. Many large 6X6 Elk have been taken on the Ranch in the last several years and 7X7 Elk have been seen. The Deer permits are by draw only and geared toward landowner preference, generally if you put in the draw you will receive a Deer permit. Bear, Mountain Lion, Bobcat and Turkey permits are sold over the counter.

 

The Headquarters is an impressive 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom 3372 square foot lodge that can accommodate a large family or could be used as a corporate retreat. The greatest care and artistic touches show throughout the house, extras include radiant heat floors, Kohler fixtures, fireplace, satellite TV and a hot tub! The Headquarters has a 1520 square foot detached garage that easily holds snowmobiles, atv’s and a skid steer, it also includes a 400 square foot heated shop.
